Beddgelert Railway Station

Pictures of Beddgelert Railway Station, on the Welsh Highland Railway, a narrow gauge railway in North Wales.

Station sign for BEDDGELERT. The sign is slate coloured, with a white wooden trim around the edge. Behind the sign is a grassy field, and a wire fence.

Looking down the platform of the station. There are two narrow-gauge tracks that meet at the end of the platform, one running along side the platform edge, and one away towards the grass opposite. Two signals at the far end are visible, along with a water tower. Along the platform are several metal and wood benches, along with two traditional streetlamp-looking lights. In the foreground to the right, there is a small cream passenger lounge building. The whole scene looks quite grey, as it was raining on and off for most of the morning.

A sign on the back of a post holding a signal (which is facing away from the camera). The sign reads "End of Token Section. Permissive Platform. Proceed as Far as Platform Line is Clear". Just visible below is an empty green passenger information board, but it looks like it hasn't had a timetable or poster in it for a while. — End of Token Section.

The other side of the pole with the "End of Token Section sign". This time, we can see the signal, which is a round red circle, with two red lights at the top and bottom. In the centre is another unlit light (which I assume is green when lit). Around each side, between the top and bottom red lights, are three black circles. — Some fun signals. I'd not seen this style before.

A small white danger sign with a red border, on a pole next to some track. The sign reads "FFESTINIOG & WELSH HIGHLAND RAILWAY. DANGER. LIMITED CLEARANCE. DO NOT WALK ALONG THE LINE. TRESSPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED.". The same text is also written above on the sign.

A classic "Stop Look Listen" level crossing sign, but with a twist - it's also in Welsh! The sign is attached to some wooden fence at the end of the platform , and you can see two tracks meet and continue off into the distance behind. The complete sign reads "Stop/ Look. Listen. Beware of trains". The Welsh text is in the top half, with a phone number separating it from the English. — Stop Look Listen!

The tracks at the other end of the platform from the first picture. The two tracks meet as they go into a shallow cutting, under a painted brown wooden bridge. Next to the points where the tracks meet, a grey cabinet is visible to the left, along with the back of several signs on the right. — Not my favourite photo, but I thought I would include it since it shows the other end of the track.
